June flower arrangement

A Love of Flowers

The floristry grew out of an interest in putting form, texture and colour together and working with beautiful materials. I love the process, from planning, to sourcing seeds and plants, to sowing, planting, growing and foraging.

I enjoy the happenstance when self-seeded combinations occur and discovering new ways to put flowers and foliage together.

The pleasure my flowers bring to others is the icing on the cake!

"Whether it is flowers for our wedding, a professional photo shoot or weekly bouquets at the market, Jan's beautiful composition and understanding of colour within her arrangements ensure that her flowers compliment all the other elements at work. Thank you Jan"

Seasonal and Local

Wherever possible I use flowers grown on the Blue Shed field. Sometimes flowers need to be sourced from other growers. I always attempt to buy as locally as possible from a network of growers to guarantee provenance, quality and freshness.

Farmers Market

Blue Shed Flowers has been selling locally grown flowers through country markets since 2011.

If I'm not designing flowers for an event, you can find me every other Saturday morning at, the Wiveliscombe Farmers' Market. This exceptional market offers a great selection of locally produced food and produce. It was awarded Somerset Food and Drink Awards, Best Farmer's Market 2014.

Visit the Wiveliscombe Farmers' Market Facebook page for news and a list of stallholders each week.
